There has been no advice from Aiki-Kai Australia regarding restarting classes.
However, Monash University has closed all interior sports facilities are closed indefinitely, and effectively also instructed that club activities should cease.
In the event that Aikido classes recommence before facilities reopen at Monash University, I would encourage students to seek alternative training options at our other dojos.
The Victorian government has extended the state of emergency for a month. This would mean that the earliest class we could have would be Tuesday May 12.
When classes recommence we will be offering discounted fees for the Monash Aikido and also Aiki-Kai Australia membership.
Prospective students are very welcome to come to watch a class and have a chance to ask questions.
