About Monash Cheer & Dance
We value principles of teamwork, commitment, healthy lifestyle, fitness, and friendship. We cater for athletes of all abilities and all genders; our more advanced teams require some experience in cheer, dance, gymnastics, aerobics, calisthenics, while our beginner teams are perfect for students looking to give something new a try!
Most of our teams are competitive and train twice weekly, competing approximately four times a year. We encourage our athletes to participate in these teams to fully experience the sports of cheer and dance.
Cheerleading is comprised primarily of stunting and tumbling, and also includes chant! We have four competitive cheer teams which span all different levels of experience in order to cater for beginners through to experienced athletes.
We also have eight dance teams across the styles of Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop and Lyrical. These teams range from beginner levels, through to teams requiring an advanced level of dance technique and ability.
