About Monash University Cricket Club

The Monash University Cricket Club has male and female teams competing in the Mercantile Cricket Association, Women's Community Competition, Eastern Cricket Association and Mid Year Cricket, with our top sides playing on turf pitches during summer. The club has over 200 active members competing and training at the Clayton and Caulfield Campuses. The Club welcomes players of all standards from beginners to the advanced, provides professional coaching, and is always looking for new players.

The Club is a Level 3 Good Sports Club.

In Melbourne Winter of 2011 John Hammer, Neil Daily and David Goodwin, along with many others formed the Mid Year Cricket Association, a great initiative for cricketers of all abilities and from all levels to continue to improve their cricket skills all year round. John had devised that the majority of Melbourne’s rain fall is in September, and despite the single figure maximum temperatures, cricket could be played during the middle of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.
