Monash Jiu-Jitsu Club

Formed in the mid-1990’s, the Monash University Jiu-Jitsu Club has been teaching Monash students, staff, alumni and the wider community the martial art of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. We aim to teach Jii-Jitsu as a system of practical self-defence, and for the personal development of the mind, body and spirit.

You’ll learn to roll and fall safely, throw and grapple, techniques for restraint and control, as well as escapes from common attacks. No matter how much experience you have, you’ll be welcome with Monash University Jiu-Jitsu.

Member Type Cost per class Cost per Semester
Monash Students $10 $150
Non-Monash Students $15 $180

The first class is free!

Please note that semesters do not exactly follow Monash University dates. For individuals joining more than halfway through the semester, an option for a late joining fee may be available.

Semester payments allow for you to cross-train at both Clayton and Caulfield dojo, as well as membership with our parent federation. Please speak to a black belt or a member of the committee for more information.
