Connected Communities
Today, the Phil strongly promotes music within Monash University and the Monash area, regularly giving concerts on campus and in other venues nearby. We also collaborate with other local music organisations.
The Philharmonic Society, affectionally known as the Phil, is a student run society based here at Clayton campus. Most of our members are Clayton students who study a wide range of degrees and relish the opportunity to continue playing their instrument. We have three main ensembles – an orchestra, a wind symphony, and a big band. We also have a small ensembles program, open to anyone who wants to form their own group.
