Whether you're experienced or brand new, first year or completing a PhD, Monash Ultimate Frisbee has a range of playing opportunities and teams to compete with. Monash Ultimate Frisbee sends teams to a number of state, and national events of all different skill levels.

The University Mixed Ultimate Championships (UMUC) is a mixed gender tournament hosted in the first half of the year (June / Week after Sem 1 Exams). UMUC features University Teams from Victoria, New South Wales, and the ACT. Each year we aim to send at least 2 development teams that pair experienced and beginner players together. UMUC is an amazing opportunity, and we recommend anyone interested in Ultimate Frisbee to try out for a team. Trainings for UMUC are run weekly after selections have ended.

The Varsity Ultimate Frisbee Unisport Nationals is the largest tournament in the university calendar. Running through mid-semester break in semester 2 and located on Australia’s Gold Coast. This event is hosted by Unisport Australia and features the best Ultimate Frisbee players from universities across all of Australia.

The Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships (AMUC) is hosted by the Australian Flying Disc Association and is the largest mixed club tournament of the year. AMUC runs both division 1 and division 2 championships, qualifications for which are decided in the state based qualifying event that is the Victorian Mixed Ultimate Championships (VMUC). This isn’t a varsity tournament and includes teams from all kinds of Victorian and Australian Frisbee clubs. Monash Ultimate Frisbee aims to send at least one team to both VMUC and AMUC.

Albert Park League (APL) consists of weekly matches against other Melbourne based frisbee clubs on Monday Nights at Melbourne’s Albert Park. Matches are 70 minutes long and run at either 6:30pm, 7:40pm or 8:50pm. APL is split into 3 seasons throughout the year with registration opening in between each season. Monash Ultimate Frisbee will send as many teams as we possibly can to play in APL. APL is a great development opportunity for new and developing players as it provides weekly competitive games. APL teams are not run via selections and only require registration of interest with team slots being allocated on a first in first served basis. All MUF members are welcome to apply.
