Join us for a weekend of riding in the Victorian High Country, at two of the state's most famous riding locations. Mystic MTB Park at Bright features everything from gentle XC riding at the base of the mountain to the most extreme national championship downhill courses. In recent years, a number of machine built 'flow trails' have been built including the 'Hero Trail' and 'Shred Kelly's Last Stand' with berms so big they could swallow you whole. Mt Beauty is one of the oldest MTB destinations and is regarded as the home of mountain biking in Australia. Built over 30 years, Big Hill Bike Park offers unique, old-school singletrack on the lower slopes of Big Hill. 

We will leave Melbourne Friday night (13th December) and camp at Smoko Campground just outside of Bright. We will spend the Saturday (14th December) at Mystic Park and Sunday (15th December) at Mt Beauty, with options to either self-shuttle at either location or pay for shuttles with Blue Dirt at Mystic (subject to group ability and interest). We will return to Melbourne Sunday night. The club can provide hardtail mountain bikes and camping equipment if required. This is a trip for advanced riders with decent fitness; if we don't shuttle, the climb up Mystic is 800m vertical! The trip will be tailored to the group's ability but generally speaking, the trails in the high country are substantially more difficult than anything near Melbourne. This is real MOUNTAIN biking!

The trip cost will be $20 if not hiring gear and Bike Hire $40 - Camping Gear $20. Sign-ups close on Friday 6th December @ 5PM.
