The highly anticipated 2024 3x3 Basketball competition is set to take place from July 2-4 at the University of the Sunshine Coast. This thrilling event will feature men's and women's competitions, promising an action-packed showcase of athletic talent.

This year's UniSport Nationals 3x3 Basketball championship serves a dual purpose: it doubles as the FISU Oceania 3x3 Basketball Qualifiers for the prestigious 2024 World University Cup. The victorious teams from Division 1 Men's and Women's categories will earn the honour of representing their region in China in 2025, competing against the finest university teams worldwide.

Monash University is making a strong showing, sending two Men's teams and two Women's teams to the championships. Building on last year's impressive performance, where our men's team advanced to the FISU University World Cup, our athletes are determined to surpass last year's achievements.

Emily Roche and Noah De Bortoli, Team Organisers for the event and both seasoned competitors who clinched silver medals in their respective divisions last year, are setting their sights even higher this year. De Bortoli shared, “Emily and I both competed last year achieving silver medals in our respective divisions and our goals for this year are to build on that.

The teams have been rigorously preparing with weekly 3x3 training sessions at Clayton, boasting our largest contingent yet with four teams competing across Men's and Women's Division 1 and Division 2 categories. “We are looking forward to being competitive in all four divisions and representing Monash with pride and sportsmanship,” De Bortoli concluded.

Team Monash extends its best wishes to our athletes as they head to the University of the Sunshine Coast.
