On Thursday the 25th of August more than 200 students celebrated a phenomenal return to form at the 2022 Monash University Club Awards night.

Held at the devine Leonda by the Yarra, students from Clubs all over Monash came together to celebrate a wonderful return to activities following 2 years of cancelled events and ongoing uncertainty thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

From the Squash Club to the Society for Anime & Manga Appreciation, the Society of Arts Students to the Dodgeball Club, and everything in between, this celebration included clubs from all over Monash! 

The auspicious occasion highlighted the resilience, passion and resourcefulness of all students involved in this year's clubs and societies. Even after the last two years, the clubs have almost returned to full strength and they are a sure sign that Monash is ripe with determination to not only return to its pre-covid liveliness, but to eclipse it. 

Congratulations to all award winners of the 2022 Monash Clubs & Societies Awards, especially to our sporting club awardees:

• Sporting Club Office Bearer of the Year - Tessa Quinlan - Monash University Squash Club 

• Sporting Club of Year - Monash University Dodgeball Association

• Most Popular Sporting Club of the Year - Monash University Dodgeball Association

• Best Online Sporting Event - Monash Dance Society 

• Best Sporting Event of the year - Monash University Dodgeball Association

Gavin, president of the Monash Dodgeball Association was beyond excited to be taking home 3 awards stating: "We're incredibly thrilled over our club's performance this year. It has been one of the biggest years for our club and to top it off with winning 3 awards is amazing.This year we had the opportunity to start many new initiatives and events so we can't wait to see what the future holds for the club."

Thank you to the Monash Clubs & Societies team who hosted this event. It was a fantastic night and we can't wait to see what's in store for all the clubs in the upcoming year!
