This Saturday, over 400 Monash student athletes will compete against the other Australian Universities in the 2024 UniSport Nationals, held in Canberra. 31 Monash teams will contest 18 different sports, each hoping to take home the gold.

Jamie Harrison’s humble journey in athletics has been the force behind his work ethic and rise in Australian middle-distance running. Harrison, from Cohuna in northern Victoria, has made a huge statement on the track at national level. Since moving to Melbourne, Harrison, 23, has made huge strides.
Monash’s emerging cheer squad, Atlas, will compete in the FISU World University Cheerleading Championships in Croatia during August. Despite most of its cheer squad never performing at the elite level, Atlas is relishing in the challenge to reach the top tier of cheerleading, known as level 5/6.
Monash University has three dance teams and one cheer team representing Australia in the FISU University World Championships in Croatia in August. Behind these elite athletes is a team of students making it happen. The Monash Cheer and Dance (MONCAD) committee is made up of nine Monash University students who organise overseas and interstate competition trips as well as managing the year-long Cheer and Dance program.
After competing all over the world and in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Ash has earned a well-deserved rest under sunnier skies. The retired high-flying aerial skier represented Australia in her final Olympic jump and is now enjoying a change of pace.
