Club Membership
For Competition Standard players who are keen to represent the club for weekend competitions or have the required playing standard to play as emergency players if required.
Please note that a high playing standard is required to join as a Competition (Full) Member with the minimum playing standard required being UTR 5.0 for Men's & UTR 3.0 for Ladies. Alternatively if you do not have a UTR, the estimated requirement is 4.0 on the NTRP Rating System
2023 Full Competition Membership
- For current Monash Students and Staff: $75 per annum
- For non Monash Student and Staff: $100 per annum
What the Membership comes with:
- Free Access to Practice on Wednesday Nights (6.30pm to 9.30pm), commencing from 4th Jan 2024
- Free Access to Practice on Mondays (2pm to 4pm), Fridays (2pm to 4pm), commencing from 26th Feb 2024
- $5 Per Friday Entry fee for Friday Nights Social Competition (Fridays from 5.30pm), commencing from 1st March 2024
- 50% discount (off community prices) on individual tennis court bookings through Monash Sports
Note: The online booking does not come with the discounts (Monash Sport is working on it), for the discount to work you have to book in person at Monash Sport or Call Monash Sport to book. Sorry for this inconvenient.
Extra Estimated Weekend Competition Fees Per Player (Including Ball Fees)
For those playing weekend competition, additional competition fees per player per season are:
- $35 Pennant*
- $26 BRTA*
- $105 per WDTA S/D team (divide $270 by number of players)
*Comp Fees are estimated based on 6 players teams. Fees will be more expensive if Teams have less than 6 players

Availability of Club Membership
There are three important factors affecting the availability of Club Membership.
- Monash Uni Tennis Club full membership is generally only available to players representing the club or have the playing ability to play as emergencies in weekend competition teams
A limited number of full memberships may be offered to players of weekend competition standard at the discretion of the club committee.
These players must have played Seniors Pennant, Seniors Weekend Competitions or above.
These players may have also come through the Social Competition Grades/Gradings. - At least 70% of club members must be current Monash students.
- With limited time on courts, the club can accommodate only about 80 full members.
Membership includes registration with Tennis Victoria which provides insurance and other benefits.
No Refund Policy: Club policy is that membership fees will not be refunded, either fully or partially.
What can I do if I can't qualify for the Full Competition Membership?
You can still join as a Social Member (*Minimum Playing Standards apply)
