In 2024, we were thrilled to host our Martial Arts Expo events, aimed at engaging new and current students with our martial arts clubs and raising their profile within the wider Monash community. These events demonstrate the diverse range of martial arts clubs that students and community members can get involved in at Monash University!
In Semester 1 , the Monash Sport Recreation Hall became a hub of activity as attendees participated in engaging demonstrations and interactive sessions led by our diverse range of Martial Arts Clubs. With a series of 15-minute stations, participants had the chance to experience Taekwondo, Judo, Aikido, Kickboxing, Kendo, Shorinji Kempo, Wushu & Tai Chi, Jiu Jitsu, and Fencing. The event, which featured free food and special prizes, successfully attracted interest from both newcomers and seasoned martial artists, enhancing the visibility of our clubs and encouraging greater involvement.
In Semester 2 , the Dining Hall of the Campus Centre, Level 1 Clayton Campus, hosted a lively and informative event where attendees enjoyed live demonstrations. This event provided an excellent opportunity to meet club members, learn about their activities, and discover how to get involved. The free food added to the experience, making it a perfect platform to boost the profile of our clubs and engage with the Monash community.
These events have effectively showcased the diverse martial arts opportunities at Monash, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the future, fostering greater engagement and raising the profile of our martial arts clubs.
