Monash science students Claudia Whitfort, Isabella Shannon, and public health student Courteney Munn have played pivotal roles in St Kilda’s inaugural AFLW season.

The trio of footy superstars have taken to the field throughout the Saints first four games and have been stellar as the club competes in its first season.

Monash spoke to Claudia Whitfort on what being part of the club's first AFLW team would mean and how she plans to balance life as a student and professional athlete.

“Our first home game was amazing, we packed it [RSEA Park] out and it was a shame we couldn’t get the win but when we do, I’m sure Moorabbin will go off,” Claudia said.

“It’s been a great start to the season and once Uni goes back… I think it will be really easy to balance footy and my studies.

“Monash has been great with its support and I look forward to joining the Elite Student Performer Scheme to get even more of that support.”

Best of luck for the season to Claudia, Isabella and Courteney! We’ll be watching with a keen eye and we know you can help the Saints win!
