On Friday February 9, the annual Chancellor’s Cup Golf Day was held at Sandhurst Golf Club, raising over $9,000 for Monash University’s sporting clubs. The event was attended by nearly 100 Monash alumni, staff and sponsors, who enjoyed a day of golf across Sandhurst’s North course.

Golfers were welcomed with a light lunch and warmup on the driving range and practise green, before launching into the course with nine different novelty holes.

Congratulations to our Programmed team, consisting of Andrew Male, Abu Tashfeen, Simon Drew and Justin Trott who took home the trophy with a score of 55.375, edging out the runner-ups by 0.625 points.

Stuart Baker, who is the Regional Manager for our major sponsor Programmed, described the day as a great event to catch up with others within the Monash community, with good weather and great golf. He commended Sandhurst Golf Club, saying “It’s always a fantastic event at Sandhurst, where the course is always amazing.”

Programmed has partnered with Monash University for over a decade, and has been a long-time supporter of the Chancellor’s Cup Golf Day for the past 7 years. Programmed is a human resources company, providing staffing, facility management, maintenance and care services for their clients. At Monash, they provide open space maintenance, landscape construction & painting services across all four campuses.

The Chancellor’s Cup Golf Day wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors. Thank you to all our sponsors for their continued support, and we look forward to the 2025 Chancellor’s Cup.

Congratulations must also go to the novelty hole winners who took home various prizes provided by our sponsors. Congratulations to Brett Lavale, Caelen Hurley, Greg Powell, Nick Rimington, Matthew Squires and Michael Renwick!
