Cathedral Range trip 12-14th April 2024
Come for a weekend of car camping and thrilling day hikes among jagged peaks this April. MUOC will be running a trip to Cathedral Range State Park. This hike is recommended for INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED hikers or experienced climbers as it is steep in places, require a lot of rock scrambling and unassisted climbing and traverses some exposed ledges en-route. The Park is home to the ‘jawbone’, a spine-tingling ridge with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. This is a lesser known but beautiful state park with great views and relatively proximal to Melbourne.
We will stay at Cooks Mill campground Friday and Saturday nights and go for day hikes on Saturday and Sunday. The campground will have drop toilets and a water tank.
Tickets will be released in the coming weeks.
Note: There will be carpooling. If you have a car and are interested in driving passengers, you will be reimbursed by the club. If you have any enquiries, please reach out to: president@muoc.org
